CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union has a second chance checking account program in Virginia that comes with free Online Branch access, Online Purchase Rewards, E-Statements, Mobile Web & Text Banking, Visa Check Card, Surcharge-free ATM access and Free Telephone Banking.
There is no minimum balance required once the account is open. However, applicants must complete a Balance Track Course either in branch or online, sign up for E-Statements, have a minimum direct deposit of $100 and pay a $10 monthly service fee.

RF&P Federal Credit Union offers a second chance checking if you had financial circumstances that has caused you to be declined for a checking account. There is no minimum balance required but you must sign up for direct deposit. It has a monthly service fee of $12.00 and comes with a free atm card. After a twelve month period the account can be converted to a regular checking as long as you have not bounced any checks.
